Those two respond to the same burst line completely differently: the crawl-space houses can be opened from below and dried in place, while the slab houses hold moisture at the perimeter under the flooring where nothing shows. Population has slipped slowly since 2010, which means the older stock is being maintained rather than turned over. Long-serviced houses reward opening one assembly and looking, rather than reading a meter through a finish.
