Seventy-five road miles from the Dyersburg desk puts this at the far end of the coverage, and it is the run where planning matters most. Puryear is ten miles north, McKenzie seventeen southwest, and Camden and Huntingdon both twenty-five. The eastern side of the county runs down to Kentucky Lake, so lakeside property here is on a managed reservoir with a seasonal operating range — a different proposition from riverside property on an unregulated stream, and it changes what the ground behind a foundation is doing in February against July.
